Dometic Holding Tank Sensors

Post by AMCarter3 »

I’m trying to solve a problem with my Dometic DTM04 Holding Tank Sensors. The “Empty” light on our monitor panel not longer come ON when the tank is empty. The other 3 lights (Low, Med, Full) work fine. So far, I discovered and attempted to repair a broken wire on the 22” flex probe (the long probe in the tank). That did not work -- the “Empty” light still does not work.

My next steps are to: a) test the LED light on the monitor to verify it works; and b) test the probe wire repair to see if it works. If they both work, then I'm thinking of replacing the float on the probe -- it's about $44 (vs. replacing the entire sensor system for $360). Any other suggestions or advice?

I solved it... found a broken wire at the top of one of the senors... soldered it. Done.
