Sliding Door Weather Strip?

Post by duetto »

hi all,

we have a leak on the port side of the sliding door. it is coming down the inside face of the door just below the lock mechanism. it is getting onto the inside face getting past the black "fuzzy" weather strip. has anyone replaced the weather strip? if so, where did you get it (name/make)? what did you have to take apart to install?

thanks in advance.

John,

We are hull 81. I assume it is the same door as yours but I am not sure. We have not had the leak issue you are dealing with but I did replace the rollers on the bottom of the door. Pompanette Bomar made the door. I have attached the invoice with the phone number and maybe some less my personal info below. You may be able to use it to identify the door.

I ordered replacement weatherstrip from Pompanette. Haven't installed it yet so I can't speak to the process. The material is Pile, Wide Black .450", 23ft. per Pompanette to replace all the weatherstripping. Part #P30-2031.
