Saltwater Washdown pump filter
Saltwater Washdown pump filter
I have a problem with my washdown hose pump. When the breaker is ON, the washdown pump works fine -- salt water comes shooting out the hose at a normal pressure. However, when I turn the hose nozzle OFF, the pump continues to turn on/off/on/off in a clicking manner... like it is trying to suck water in through the small water filter mounted inline on the hose that feeds water into the pump. I've seen an issue similar to this with in the past when the filter housing was not really tight and a small amount of air was getting sucked in when the pump was ON -- it defeated the prime. This issue does not seem to affect the prime. Any ideas? Has anyone encountered this issue?
