netting openings

PDQ issues applicable across all PDQ Yachts (or if you can't find a place for something, it probably belongs here for now)

netting openings

Post by panchito »

I have a 1989 PDQ 36 and was hoping someone has the opening measurements for the nettings. I left my boat in Mexico and forgot to measure for the nets before returning to the states. Thanks, Frank

Looks like 1/4-inch or just a wee hair less. Probably nominal 1/-inch.

(That's 1/4" chain and 1/2" rope)

Thanks for the reply with the photo. Actually, I was hoping for the dimensions of the openings that the nets fit into. Cheers.

Call Sunrise Yacht Products, that is where many of us get ours made, they have done many PDQs so they already have the dimensions. There are a few different trampoline configurations so you are taking a chance not getting actual measurements for your boat. If you have a hull made in 1989, then you have the hard center section that separates the two trampoline pieces, there were not a lot of those made so Sunrise may not have made one of those, but if they have, they will know, newer hulls laced together in the center, yours will have a different attachment method. I would recommend having someone run down to your boat for actual measurements after talking to Sunrise, they will tell you exactly what dimensions they need. There must be someone close to the boat that you can pay a few bucks to run by and make the measurements to save you the risk of these not fitting perfectly. Here is there number:
