Jib Traveller on a 32

Post by amytom »

The jib traveller on my 32 was in bad shape so i pulled it off to take down to west marine looking for a replacement. A couple of the bearings fell out and are lost. WM talked me into a new Harken 1624 car but the car doesn't fit with the bearing retaining wires in and Harken says they can not be removed.
What is the proper replacement car? How do you install the bearings without them falling out as you slide the car in place?

I love it when I can answer my own questions.

Just talked to Harken the car is P/N 1508 the bearings are P/N1526 (two sets needed) and a loader is needed HMR2.

The new cars that WM carries only fit the newer style CB track.
The new $150.00 car goes back and Harken is sending the new parts for less than $50.00 overnight.
