Jacklines

Hi there,
Has anyone installed (permanently or temporarily) jacklines on their boats
(especially the 36's)??
We have some that we plan to rig for longer passages as we make our way south
this fall -- but after playing with them a bit, I am not completely happy with
the configurations I have come up with. The best I have now is to run them from
the aft cleat over and up diagonal to the mast through u-bolts we have near
there (but interfering with the sheets) and down and diagonal forward to the bow
cleats. We have hull 36003 so our running rigging is a little different, and
that may be the problem, but I'd still like to hear other configurations used

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Cindy & Doug: On our offshore legs to the Bahamas and Bermuda we bought a set
through West Marine. These are temporary jacklines and were the 32ft length with
a ss snap latch on one end and plain end on the other. They worked out just fine
going from the forward cleats across the top of the coach roof and tying them to
the aft cleats. Hope this helps. Jack Coulter "Mojo" 36 # 78
