Replacement Wind Vane

Post by Lady of the Lake »

Seems like a beautiful bird sat on my wind vane and broke it off. Anyone know what vane might be on a 1991 PDQ36 and where I can get a replacement? The helm instrument is a Raymarine ST50 series. Is it as simple as popping on a new vane or does the entire mast top assembly need to be replaced?

Hi Sam, When that happened to me, about 10 years ago, I called Raymarine. They offered me a special price for a replacement. It might have been a re-manuf. unit. I can't remember (What did I have for breakfast again?)

Never had any luck trying to get those thing repaired. West Marine might be able to help.
