Windvane

We were out last weekend on the bay, and we saw a Fountaine Pajot catamaran (37
or 40) that was under sail and being steered by a wind vane. I thought that cats
were not suppose to work with wind vanes. Does anyone have first or second hand
knowledge of how well they work on cats? Any thoughts appreciated

Regards,
Tom

The Jan/Feb 2003 issue of Multihulls mag. has on page 6 as a featured product a
Scanmar windvane that is mounted on a Seawind 1000. It is claimed to work very
well.Their website is http://www.selfsteer.com
