I did a word search on the forum first and didn't find any suggestions so now I will post the question.
After 5 years or so of owning my boat I have not found a documentation number board on my boat. The classic carving the number in the "main" beam is not what I think will work.
Question is where have some other owners attached their number placards? I have routed out my own board and while it looks okay it is not furniture grade so hopefully I will get some ideas that place it in a bit of an out of the way location.
Thank you

hi,
ours is a spray paint stencil with clear resin overcoat on the wall of a forward locker/hull side.

Re: Documentation number placard
Hi,
Two suggestions for you - we affixed our board within the cupboard containing the remote fuel filter for the port side engine (starboard side cupboard would also do); the previous owner affixed a similar board within the storage area for the house batteries.
Cheers,
John

The #s on Vita Bella are located in the forward deck hatches in both hulls. Mine are black numbers imbedded in the fiberglass.

Re: Documentation number placard
The biggest requirement is that it be affixed in such a manner that it is possible to tell that it has been removed, i.e. causes some minor damage.

Re: Documentation number placard
Wrote ours in 3" high numbers using a black permanent marker in the forward port compartment. A Coast Guard inspection a few years ago didn't gig me for this.

Re: Documentation number placard
I did the same as John on Duetto. 4 inch vinyl letters( like the ones you use for dingy ID) applied in the port forward locker and covered with clear epoxy. Don't forget to place a period after the NO.
