Hatch Vent

Post by Ross Bowling »

The forward starboard deck hatch vent needs to be replaced. Looked quickly at West Marine online and did not see anything similar. Any ideas of who makes it? It is a Bomar Hatch.

BTW, Bomar says the vent is not theirs, must be "after market", any help is appreciated.

Update, I was able to mount the stainless dome directly to the hatch and it seems all is well. The dome had been screwed into 3 plastic spots on the topside of the vent assembly. The plastic just fell apart allowing the dome to dance on the deck.

Try a search on this vent. I think that Dick Tucshick posted about having these in stock.

I had the same problem. I beleive it was a Beckson Vent-O-Mate, Model No. - C-6SS - Vent-O-Mate® Ventilator with stainless steel cover. You can look it up an their website.
I also think they sell just the plastic replacement parts.

I was able to order replacement of entire vent except the Stainless Cover this summer directly from the Beckson Website. it was the C-6D (Guts) = $29.20 plus shipping.

This thread was very helpful. I need to replace the guts of my Vent-O-Mate on the shower hatch. Finding Beckson and the source of this vent was a very pleasant surprise. THANKS!
