Spare 9.9 HP Yamaha High Thust Props

Post by thinwater »

I got these with some used engines some years ago and I'm cleaning out the workroom. Gotta make room for projects and Corsair stuff.

They are used but functional. In my opinion every PDQ owner should carry a spare or two. Just ask how many have wound up a rope in a prop, spinning a prop. It's a 5-minute swap... if you have a spare. They are $70 on e-bay. How about $50 for all three, plus shipping... unless you want to pick them up. (Deale MD or Vienna, VA).

Please specify diameter and pitch of each, I believe they are different throughout the years, the ones I have on my 2013 9.9s are different than the ones on my old 2006 motors. Both are Yamaha High Thrust 9.9s but I believe the torque is different on the ones based on the smaller blocks.

11.5-inch diameter. I would be guessing at the pitch.

They are older, probably about 1997-2000.

As a spare it won't matter too much. I used these with 2012 engines and can't say that I noticed any difference.

Pitch is embossed along one of the blade edges. I bet you are right, should be fine as spares :-)

I think the pitch says "9 1/4", but it is difficult to read. They are all the same.
