number of batteries?

Post by duetto »

hi all,

i have heard that some boats came equipped with 6 GC2 golfcart batteries. if anyone has this configuration, i'd like to know how the 2 extra batteries are positioned.

our 4 lead-acid golfcarts have approximately 400Ah capacity. in south fl and bahamas this is just about the bottom limit and i'd like to increase.

Don't know much about the current size of your batteries, but I offer this info for what it's worth. I replaced our Trojan T-105 golf cart batteries with Trojan T-145. Suprisingly the size was about the same (within a 1/4 inch), yet with much more capacity. The T-145 has a 20-hour rating of 260 amps (6 volt). This put our bank at 520 amps (4 total batteries) within the same footprint as the older T-105's. Info is as of Oct. 2006 and were purchased from a wholesaler/retailer in Miami, Florida for $118 each + tax.

I originally thought it was a wholesaler because we paid tax-exempt (re-sale tax certificate from our business), but they sell retail. I emailed Trino & he put me in touch with his manager Phillip. Don't know the current status of the business & who is still there.

Trino R. Villalonga - owner?
Phillip - mnager

I have emails saved from their pricing of $118 each, plus tax, but I'm sure the prices have risen significantly since 2006. Let me know if you need any other info.
