Bahamas Bound - It's Almost Time

Post by 36041 »

Ok, ok, maybe it's still another couple of months yet, but who else is heading south this fall? Are we going to close in on my favorite Ragged Island anchorage and stumble upon another 4 PDQ's like this past year? We hope so. Let us know if your heading down.

P.S. - We expect to cross back over October 1 or so, hope to see you all there.

We are READY to go! We spent 52 days in the Ragged's last year - sorry we didn't cross paths. We are looking forward to spending even more time there in 2009. Hope to see you!

Dream Catcher, Kokomo and any other concerned PDQers:

Margaret and I are most likely going to be Bahamas bound on Sunshine in early November-ish after we install a refrigeration system, paint the bottom, and do some exploring in the Chesapeake Bay area. Since this will be our first trip, we'd be especially pleased if someone were willing to buddy boat with us. We're very flexible about the date and place of departure.

Hello Phil - We may be crossing thr gulf stream to the Abacos in early/mid December. It would be great to go with another PDQ. I expect to leave NJ in the third week of September. we'll keep in touch.

Hi, Bill:

That would be great! We can call it the "Sunshine Regatta." Have you thought about a jumping off point yet? We may be in or headed toward the Chesapeake Bay as you are heading south. Maybe we'll cross paths then. When you are ready to leave NJ, give me a call at 317-366-8083 and we can compare notes.

Anyone else?

Don:

That's great! We should be passing through T-ville at about that time. We'll give you a call when we get in the area.

We are at our house on the Chesapeake now, at Still Pond, just south of the Sassafras, and we have space at our dock or to drop anchor in front of the house.
We plan to leave for Florida (Fort Lauderdale area) the later part of October, and cross to the Abacos on December or January.
We will love to cruise in company.

Hello, Luis and Lydia:

We would like very much to meet up with you when we get to your area -- probably mid to late September, depending on how many adventures we have along the way from Brunswick, GA. Be warned, though, we are Indiana Hoosiers who are new to boating and this will be our first time in the Chesapeake Bay area. We will have LOTS of questions. If you are brave enough to provide us with your contact information, we'll let you know when we're in the neighborhood.

Hello Bahama Bound Sailors
Bonnie and myself (with dog & cat) should be heading to the Bahamas in late November from the Keys. This is our first trip, and we are completely undecided on where to go once we're there, other than delivering some relief packages.
Thanks!

Bacchagato et al:

We're still "stuck" at Brunswick, GA and our cruising plans are still firmly engraved in Jello. It's now looking like we'll spend Thanksgiving at Palm Beach and, then, head over to the Bahamas very shortly thereafter. This is our first trip as well and we'd like very much to travel with some fellow PDQers. Please stay in touch and let us know when you are close to leaving. My contact information is above. Many thanks!
