Head Replacement

Post by Mongoosemagic »

I am looking to replace the Jabsco head that can with the boat (Now 10 years old). I have replaced every part at some time except for the bowl. I am looking at Raritan electric macerating toilets.

The wife has said that she is not doing the ICW without a new head.

Any suggestions, comments, tips, etc.

I am a believer in the KISS principal so I have replaced my head with the same Jabsco unit several times. All the bolt holes and hose fittings work and it is reasonably priced.

If you are going to cruise outside of the USA, the Jabsco is probably the best bet.

I replaced my original Jabsco head with a Raritan electric this past winter and couldn't be happier. It's simple and works well. It's great when I have my non-boating family and friends aboard. The nieces and nephews (and many adult guests) just couldn't figure the old one out no matter how many times I explained. This is just really convenient. The noisiness takes a little getting used to though...
