Grounding plate no longer connected

Post by rhumbline2 »

The 3" wide copper strip that runs to the grounding plate on the bottom of the starboard hull has corroded and is no longer attached to it. I haven't seen any reference to this copper strip or ground plate in my owner's manual. What is its function and how concerned should I be that the copper strip is not connected to the plate on the bottom of the hull??

Anyone out there have any experience with this kind of problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ditto... hull #108 does not have a grounding strap.

I had the same thing happen on our vessel. This is for the SSB. You can just take the end of the tape and punch a hole in it and reattach to the dynaplate.

If you have bronze thru hulls you can attach to that as well.
