PDQ 2nd Annual Cookout at Sailboat Show
We thought we'd get this coordinated early so that anyone making plans for the Boat Shows would have lots of notice.
Bonnie and I would like to host another cookout at our Annapolis house on Friday October 8th from 6pm to 10ish. (Just after the boat show ends for the day)
There will be food and drink, hopefully photos to judge for the PDQ photo contest, and lots of PDQ projects and adventures to discuss. Bring food or drink to add to the party, if you'd like and are able. We will set up food 'buffet style' and have some chaffing dishes.
The Address is 1328 Fishing Creek Road, Annapolis. There is anchorage on Fishing Creek and a dinghy dock at the end of the street. We can figure out a shuttle from downtown for those anchored there, and of course there is parking for those driving.
The house is five miles from downtown and seven houses from the dinghy dock.
Fishing Creek is just north of Thomas Point Park (in shore from the lighthouse). The channel is very narrow, but well marked. The depth is 5' MLW, worst case, in the channel. There are many shoals (<2' MLW) and debris on the bottom outside of the channel, so you need to keep to the channel entering the creek. It was actually dry land when the lighthouse was built. Once in the creek there is a lot of anchoring space and a soft mud bottom. Annapolis Coast Guard Station is located at the very back of the creek. The channel runs right to their dock and is well maintained for their bigger boats.
Please RSVP to eric@epstein.bz, to aid us in figuring out food.
It'll be a fun time. Last year was a blast!
Hope to see you there.

My famliy and I were all looking forward to this; however, we seem to have contracted colds that will not go way. So while I would love to share stories, I doubt very much that you all want to share in our ailment.
Until next year! Have a good party and post some pictures.

Sorry to hear that Drew. We are, at the moment, in the Magothy River but are planning on sailing over there a bit later today.

A very nice party. all! It was good to see some old friends and make new ones; Regrettably, there was only one Power Cat represented, but he held up notably well. Thank you, Eric and Bonnie!

It was cool being able to put some faces to the screennames. The PDQ raft-up was HUGE!

I hope life in the Epstein Household will never qualify as "settled"! Think champagne without the fizz, or chili without chili powder.

Eric, Bonnie,
The party was great thanks again for hosting - maybe next year we can give you a breather and relocate the party to Selby while your "Life settles down" (yeah right... )!
Enjoyed seeing everyone again...

Many thanks for the great get together Eric and Bonnie. It was so good to meet some of the people we see on the forum. The sails have been safely delivered and we are now on Windrush in Hobe Sound and getting everything ready for throwing off the lines and heading for the Bahamas. Hope you sort out the sea-sickness Octavia! Have a wonderful time in Australia Desiree. Good luck with the new house Eric and Bonnie and we hope to see you next year.

From the representative of the Power Cat fleet, a warm thank you to Eric and Bonnie for a great gathering. I hope Octavia now feels a bit more comfortable on the water. Looking forward to next year - maybe arriving by boat.
