I wonder if anyone has looked into, or actually put a storm sail on the baby stay. There was a question in this regard on the forum in 2004 with no replies.
Or is the way to go with the roller furling rolled up, and a storm sail fitted on the forestay with out requiring removale of the jib. Has anyone done that?

I am not convinved that the baby stay was designed to take the load of a storm sail. My rigging guy (and someone at PDQ if I recall correctly) told me that the purpose of the baby stay was to prevent mast pumping by stabilizing the center section of the mast. I think I would be a little concerned about the lateral load on the chainplate many of us have had to rebed.
