This is a very interesting article. Like the official reports I write, it has
been over editied, but it still hints at other agenda at work. It also is a
clear condemnation of trimarans, at least in commercial (charter) operation. I
have a PDQ 32 and am sensitive to the serious issue of beam width and carrying
too much sail into deteriorating conditions. I suppose this article echoes the
proposition that you can have too much mast, but you can't have too much beam
and length over-all!
