New Owner with Questions

My name is Bob Gruber, and recently purchased the PDQ 32 Latis from Reedsville, VA. I'm in the process of moving her south, initially to stay at Hilton Head, SC, and renamed Island Time.
Similar to all new owners, I have plenty of questions, but thought it best to first search the site to see if they've already been addressed, and secondly, not to put them all in one post so the subject will relate to the content.
Island Time is now in South Port, NC, at the mouth of the Cape Fear River. Never been here before, but a great place.
