All,
As is probably obvious from my last post, I'm working on the water system. The old Seaward is leaking from the tank. I need to replace it.
I don't have room for the instant propane unit like on Cat Tales, since the Anne Z has giant diesel engines in the rear, plus I don't want to run new propane lines all over.
So, The problem: As you can see from the pictures, the heater is under the navigation seat. I removed the floor screws to see about getting it out. No way will it fit through the opening. So, I have two options. The first would be to cut the glass at the bottom of the opening, then repair it after I replace the water heater. The second would be to disassemble the navigation seat/cabinet assembly. It looks to me that taking this apart would be a pretty big job. The seat and cabinets appear to be all part of a connected fiberglass and wood structure. Has anyone ever taken this apart before?
Thanks,
Brendan
