Replace bilge pumps hoses

Tried to pull new bilge pump hoses today with no success.
Single Whale manual bilge pump is located on center line, aft cockpit. Long bilge pump hoses run from beneath sole in both bow cabins. Bilge pump hose in port cabin appears to be suspended from sole? Can't be pulled forward or aft for replacement?
If anyone has replaced bilge pump hose under the cabins soles, I would appreciate all of the information that you can provide on the process. About all I can see to do is remove the sole (and lots of "furniture") to get at the hoses. Isn't there a better way?
