I confess, I cheated. I had over the years two ports that had lenese some previous owner had stuck in with what looked liek clear bathtub caulk pop out of the frames. I removed the silicone and cleaned the surfaces of both the old seal and the frame with dentured alcohol to the extreme. If I remember right I used a water/alcohol mix on teh lense and sanded the edge slightly. Then set the lenses in with GE SCS 2000 silicone sealant. Careful, it can be extremely messy. The hatches are stiff but they have not popped out of the frames nor leaked yet.
