removing/replacing stantion bases

We started to remove the stantions to replace some and to rebed the bases. We have tried a lot of different things, but it seems that the SS bolts have become one with the Alum. bases. Has anyone found a solution (other than drilling)? Does anyone know of a source for replacement bases? It sits over the toe rail and bolts through it. I haven't seen any like it on other boats.

Have you tried PB Blaster, long soak, followed by lots of heat?
I believe they may be threaded into embedded aluminum plates, in which case you prospects are tough. I mapped out many of the plates on my boat with ultrasound, after trying to remove a few fittings.
If that is the case, I'd be re-drilling to one side LONG before I would try to drill out that many bolts. Much easier, much faster, just as good. If the plates are embedded, you should be able to tap new threads.
And look a the corrosion in the socket.
