Navigation Software

Post by amytom »

What is the best (cheap) way to view the Navionics chips on a laptop?

I have the Maptech companion cd but it leaves a lot to be desired as it still treats each chart as a seperate page. I have two navionics chips one SD and one CF and I leave one in the RayMarine plotter but would like to use the other on the laptop. (WinXP)

Thoughts?

Buy a mac and run MacENC with free charts and dump the other stuff. Just my opinion.

Unfortunately I'm still using the company's laptop. I wonder, how much would a used Mac laptop run?
Sam, one of these days I'll have to take a look at your setup.
